The United Fiber & Data (UFD) team is back to work after an exciting International Telecoms Week (ITW), which brought 7,000 delegates from 2,000+ companies and more than 135 countries to Atlanta, Georgia – June 23 – 26, 2019

Our team spent three packed days meeting new partners and networking with executives in the telecom industry. We hope you were able to grab a cup of coffee and unwind at the United Fiber & Data-sponsored coffee station and our happy hour. We had a great time and hope you had a chance to stop by.

// Exciting News //

This year added an extra dose of excitement as we announced that a global hyperscaler selected UFD for fiber-optic connectivity between two of our major U.S. carrier hotels in Manhattan and New Jersey. In case you missed our big announcement, United Fiber & Data tailor-made a dark fiber solution for this customer’s network design, with 12 pairs/24 fiber strands total along a diverse and secure route that provides the hyperscaler with high-capacity options for big data transit in the U.S.

Christopher Lodge, COO

The security, diversity and scalability of our newly constructed low latency network with easy access to key U.S. carrier hotels has brought this major global customer to United Fiber & Data for reliable, leading-edge data communications.

United Fiber & Data’s COO, Christopher Lodge and President & General Counsel, Andrew Paxton filmed an episode of JSA TV while at ITW. Great interview with Jaymie Scott & Associates (JSA) – Watch it now!

The United Fiber & Data team stayed quite busy also discussing our new wholly-owned and operated purpose-built, greenfield network that went live in May. It connects a 70-mile-plus metro fiber-optic network in New York City to Ashburn, VA, via a 400-mile geographically diverse long-haul route.
