Eastlink and Another Global Data Center/Hosting Provider Tap United Fiber & Data’s Long-Haul Fiber Optic Network in the U.S.

International companies partner with UFD to optimize their network outside the I-95 corridor

YORK, Pa. — September 28, 2021— United Fiber & Data (UFD), a premier fiber optic network provider in the U.S. Northeast region, announces today that Canadian telecommunications carrier Eastlink and another global data center and hosting provider are now leveraging UFD’s wholly owned dark fiber assets and regen/ILA sites on its diverse long-haul fiber backbone that spans more than 400 miles and sits outside the Mid-Atlantic I-95 corridor. 

The regen/ILA sites are strategically placed along UFD’s unique fiber optic network designed to avoid congestion and single points of failure on the I-95 corridor from northern New Jersey to Ashburn, Virginia, the data center capital of the world.

Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier Selects United Fiber & Data for Optical Wavelength Services in the U.S.

Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier and UFD partner to expand diversity and capacity outside the I-95 corridor 

YORK, Pa. — September 21, 2021— United Fiber & Data (UFD), a premier fiber optic network provider in the U.S. Northeast region, announces today it has been selected by Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier, to provide 100G optical wavelength services outside the Mid-Atlantic I-95 corridor. Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier is the wholesale division of Deutsche Telekom, one of the world’s leading integrated telecommunications companies with award-winning network quality. UFD’s fiber route spans from northern New Jersey to the data center capital of the world, Ashburn, Virginia.

UFD’s lit services provide customers cost-effective 10G to 100G optical wavelength options delivered over its diversely built long-haul fiber backbone that links the Greater New York City metro area to Northern Virginia, with future capabilities of up to 600G wavelengths. 

UFD’s optical wavelength services complement its existing unique fiber network that sidesteps the bottlenecks and single points of failure along the highly-trafficked I-95 corridor. The company’s critical diverse path offers high-bandwidth, low latency connectivity designed to prevent costly downtime in the event of network disruption on a primary fiber path.
